Kleta-Maria Kentara is one of Finland's leading baroque violinists. Born in Kaustinen, known for the largest folk music festival in Scandinavia, she studied at the Ostrobothnia Music School with Mauno Jrvra, Juha Kangas and Kaija Saariketu, at the Sibelius Academy, and at the Etzberg Music School in Stockholm with Endre Wolff and He studied with Jennifer Wolff. He studied Baroque music with Reinhard Goebel in Cologne. She has often participated in projects with Monika Haggett in England. She was the leader of the period instrument ensemble Barocco Borreale (Northern Baroque), founded in Kaustinen in 2013, and soloist on the album Folk Seasons (ABCD402). Her solo album, Side by Side (Raragete).The second and third "Dances not by Bach" and "Kaustinen's Dances" from J. S. Bach's "Partita for Solo Violin," excluding the "Chaconne," will be performed side by side. The "differences" and "connections" are viewed from the player's point of view, and presented as music that arouses the listener's interest. The "Funeral March of Hintliki-Perttoniemi," played before the "Armando" of No. 2, is a traditional fiddle piece that was also used as material for Aulis Sallinen's String Quartet No. 3. Performed on an instrument made by Giovanni Battista Rogelli of Brescia in 1691. Produced and recorded by Simon Fox-Gall, as in Folk Seasons. King International.
